Our courses are designed to be taken in sequence, as each one builds on the knowledge and skills acquired in the previous course.

  • A student can skip the basic course if they pass an in-person assessment.
  • Classes held in New Territory and Aliana.
  • Material covered in 12 hours of instruction.

Course 1

Basics of Python and statistics

  • Suitable for 6th grade and above.
  • Basics of Python coding and application  to generate simple statistics.
  • Python: Data types, variables, operators, conditionals, loops, lists, dictionaries, string operations.
  • Data concepts: Mean, median, mode, range, frequency

Data Interpretation with Python

  • Suitable for 8th grade and above or algebra 1 completion.
  • Use Python libraries like numpy and seaborn for understanding probability, probability distributions and sampling techniques.
  • Python: List comprehension, lambda function, NaN and None, regular expressions.
  • Libraries: Matplotlib, Numpy, Pandas, seaborn.
  • Data concept: Probability (joint, marginal and conditional), random variables ,uniform and normal distributions, z-scores, bias, population and samples, sample size, sampling techniques, data cleaning.
